Art for Every Space

  • Tanya’s Work

This work depicts simple images of nature and stillness interpreted through color, patterns and form. These paintings are a collaboration of emotions and memories which share my story and connect with viewers. Using primarily oil and sometimes encaustic, I paint abstract images which emerge from lingering memories of places visited or imagined that resonate with me.

Cold wax is a medium of soft wax which is mixed with oil paint. The name describes the temperature of the oil and soft wax combination, no heat is required.

Encaustic is the name for a medium of pigmented wax involving heat. This process is done using molten wax mixed with pigments.
